International StudentsEach year we welcome a small number of international students, whose first language is not English. The UK is renowned for its high quality education and we can deliver expert tuition to international students. Our international student complement is quite small and so they have the great advantage of being able to mix with other British students, experience the local culture and improve English Language skills. They are made very welcome by the staff and other students, and they play a full part in the academic and social life of the school. Depending on their needs, International students have language support with classes in English as a Foreign Language, either in very small groups or individually. We have the great advantage of being situated in the heart of London in a very attractive and safe area, close to Hyde Park, the major London museums and Imperial College - one of the UK's top universities. The college is also situated in one of London's most famous 'shopping areas' - Kensington High Street. International students will never be at a loss for things to see and do! Most of our international students come to obtain the grades necessary to go on to excellent British universities. Quite apart from the focus on exam success, students receive substantial support in deciding which university courses to target and then every effort is made to help them make a sucessfull application. Visa issues: We will only provide a CAS number once we are satisified that you are a candidate likely to succeed on your chosen course and have passed all our checks and tests (English Language proficiency is especially important - you need to have at least 4.0 in IELTS for the UKBA to be able to process a Tier 4 Student visa application). We will need to see evidence of this qualification before we can issue a CAS. Campbell Harris requires that international students have a MINIMUM of 5.5 IELTS or equivalent to study A-Levels and we also require the student to have a satisfactory interview in person or online (if they are not able to attend the College for a face-to-face interview). During the interview, we will discuss the suitability of the programme of study, including choice of subjects, any extra English Language support needed, and a consideration of the student's future educational and career goals.
