Chemistry Evening Course (AQA)
If you want to study AS and/or A-Level Chemistry but can’t spare the time during the day, then we might have a course for you. We provide a course of 2 (AS) or 4 (A-Level) hours per week (7:00pm – 9:00pm) over 18 weeks – usually 8 weeks in the Autumn term, 7 weeks in the Spring term and 3 weeks in the Summer term.
Taught by very experienced tutors, the course will cover the essentials of the AQA A-Level Chemistry (2015 Linear) specification and will include key practical elements. The tutorials will be an opportunity for you to discuss your particular difficulties.
Although there is no endorsement for the AS qualification, the specification assumes candidates will have completed the first six tasks during the first year of their course and questions in the AS papers are set accordingly. For this reason, Campbell Harris will offer an AS Practical Skills course allowing students to complete the first six tasks.
A full Chemistry A-level consists of three written units and a practical endorsement (please note that while practical endorsements are not a requirement in achieving a full A-level Science qualification, many universities/medical courses will not accept students without an endorsement – please check with your chosen institution before registering). Evening course students will receive a £50 discount for written exams and a £200 discount for practical endorsement courses.
Written exams cost £350 (although late fees will apply after the college’s registration deadline mid-December).
Practical endorsement courses cost £1200 and will take 40 hours to complete.
